In the heart of the city lies the Old Market Square with its charming townhouses and the famous Goats, while Cathedral Island (Ostrów Tumski) awaits with its majestic cathedral and historic corners. Additionally, the city boasts a very diverse culinary offer, featuring cuisine from around the world.

Transport in Poznań

Below you can find all the information regarding public transportation in Poznań. The city offers efficient connections – both trams and buses – which make it easy to get from one end of the city to the other. Here is an overview of the main routes related to the conference, to help participants reach key locations quickly and comfortably.

If you want to check how to get from point A to point B using public transport, download the Jakdojade app and select the city of Poznań. 

The following single tickets are available: for 10 mins, for 45 mins and for 90 min as well as for 24 hours and 7 days. They cover trams and buses. Tickets can be either paper or electronic ones.

The paper tickets are available in:
Customer Service Points, Ticket Sale Points, and tourist information point.
Ticket machines in the form of traditional paper tickets to be validated in the ticket puncher in the vehicle.

 You can buy electronic tickets using followins apps in your mobile phone:  jakdojadę, MoBilet, mPay, SkyCash  or using a terminal for your debit card in the vehicle. Terminals are available in all trams and buses - in this case tickets are recorded on the debit card. After purchasing the ticket in the app you must activate it by scanning the QR code located inside the vehicle or entering the provided vehicle number.

Each of these lines passes through the city center, making it easy to reach from various locations. Get off at the „Urząd Marszałkowski” stop, from where you can continue on foot to the campus  (around 1 minute).


Route from Ławica Airport to the city center:
From the airport, take bus 159, which goes directly to the city center. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes, with the final stop at Kaponiera, where it is easy to transfer to other public transportation.

It is also worth checking the different options for getting to Poznań to reach the city conveniently and efficiently.
Public transport in Poznań is served by trams and buses on day and night lines. Daytime lines are available from approximately 4:30 a.m. to approximately 11 p.m. At night, communication is provided by night bus lines and night tram line number 201.
Poznań is easily accessible by different means of transport.

Hyćka
A restaurant serving traditional regional cuisine. Szagówki (potato dumplings), duck with dumplings, herring, and black soup are iconic dishes of Greater Poland, all available on the permanent menu. Located near the Poznań Cathedral.
