It is one of the most valuable monuments of Baroque art in Poland. Construction work - begun in 1649 and interrupted several times - lasted over 50 years.
The organ was built in 1876 by the famous master organ builder Friedrich Ladegast from Weissenfels. The largest of the 2,579 pipes measure up to 6 meters in length. Every Saturday at 12:15 p.m., the organ can be heard during the "Fara Concerts," and after the performance, you can take a guided tour of the church's hidden corners (the chapter house, sacristy, and underground vaults).
