The Town Hall - Museum of Poznań

The pearl of the Renaissance era.

The Town Hall with the magnificent Great Entrance Hall, rebuilt in the middle of the sixteenth century, houses the Poznań Museum. The exhibition shows the history of the city from the thirteenth century to 1954. The most valuable exhibits include among others the gilded and enamelled crosier from Limoges from the thirteenth century as well as figures of billy goats from 1913 from the old clock mechanism. 

At the beginning of March 2024, the gothic cellars and the ground floor of the building were made available to guests-the effect the first stage of the renovation of the Town Hall. Inside, you will be able to see the new one an exhibition presenting the history of Poznań from the 10th to the mid-16th century, and learn about the history of the Town Hall.
