Town cultural centre - the former synagogue in Buk

A unique meeting place: an event hall and exhibition on the history of the town in a former synagogue

The Jewish population started settling in Buk after the Second Partition of Poland in 1793. The existing temple was built in 1893, in the Neo-Romanesque style. It was lavishly adorned with paintings, tessellations and chandeliers. It was devastated by the Nazis during World War II. In 2018 the building was renovated and allocated for cultural events. Inside, among others, there is a historical exposition of the town of Buk.
