Easter in Poznań 2026
The Easter holiday is increasingly a time for family getaways and taking a break from traditional gatherings at the family table. Below, we present some ideas and reasons why you should come right here – to the very heart of the Greater Poland region.

Thursday (2.04)

On Maundy Thursday, all major attractions, except for the Porta Posnania Heritage Center, will be open to visitors.

Friday (3.04)

The situation is similar, though not identical, on Good Friday. On this day, following places will be closed: Poznań Croissant Museum, branches of the National Museum, and the previously mentioned Porta Posnania. Outside the city, Rogalin Palace and Museum will also be closed.

Unfavorable weather doesn’t have to stop you from exploring Poznań. Check out the places where conditions are always comfortable.
Saturday (4.04)

For those eager for a Saturday walk, we suggest visiting the New and Old Zoo, the Botanical Garden, or the Poznań Palm House. In addition, you can see the LEGO brick exhibition called HistoryLand, located on the Poznań International Fair. The following will also be open: the Museum of Illusions Science and Art, the PRL Museum, the Chocolate Museum, and the Poznań Potato Museum (Muzeum Pyry). Outside the city, in nearby Borówiec, a railway mockup will be available for viewers.

Sunday (5.04)

On Easter Sunday, it is worth going for a walk, as both zoological gardens and the Botanical Garden will be open. The arboretum in Kórnik, near Poznań, will also be open. Furthermore, discovering Poznań's parks is a great idea, as they are truly stunning in the spring - for example the Citadel Park or Sołacki Park, and ending with many other green corners.

Monday (6.04)

On Easter Monday, in addition to the places open on sunday we can visit the Poznań Palm House, Malta Thermal Baths, Kórnik Castle, and DELI Park. For those craving activities, a walk in search of the Easter Bunny will take place around the Baths in Tarnowo Podgórne (Tarnowskie Thermal Baths). A sweet gift is prepared for everyone who finds it. Moreover, after the walk, for the first time this year, it will be possible to use the evaporation tower zone, which is opening for the summer season. The Museum of Agriculture in Szreniawa will host a unique event featuring guided tours of exhibitions dedicated to rural Easter traditions. Meanwhile, the Museum of Milling in Jaracz has planned a field game involving a search for the Easter Bunny and other Easter animals; after finding them, a small sweet reward awaits the explorers.

Temporary attractions and exhibitions

In addition to the regular highlights, it is worth checking out the temporary exhibitions and events that will be available to see during this period on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

At the Raczyński Library, you can see an exhibition related to the post-war reconstruction of its building. At Przystań Sztuki, you can find a photography exhibition by Justyna Śmidowicz, "Introduction to Poznań – a guide to the heart of the city". On the Poznań International Fair, apart from the exhibition mentioned above, it is worth checking out the immersive "Romantic Chopin" exhibition, which allows you to trace the full biography of the eminent composer and delve deeper into his work. In the Poznań Fotoplastikon building, the exhibition "The World from 100 Years Ago. Egypt" awaits visitors. It covers the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, a time when mass tourism had not yet reached this land, which was still not entirely known to the West. Finally, at the Genius Loci Archaeological Reserve we can suggest, the temporary exhibition "A Lady Shrouded in Mystery", exploring the history of an extraordinary burial of a person who completely differed from others buried during that period.
