Delicja

Delicja is one of the few places in Poznań honouring classic elegance, symbolised by heavy furniture, white tablecloths and silver cutlery. Delicja is owned by chef Agnieszka Wawrzyniak and Przemysław Wawrzyniak, one of the first Polish sommeliers. The restaurant has been recommended by MICHELIN GUIDE 2023.

Restaurant Delicja is a symbol of rare, old-fashioned elegance. Soft carpets, gallant service, white tablecloths and the glow of candles reflected in the glasses transport you to a time long gone. Such experiences are available in fewer and fewer establishments. In this respect, Delicja is a unique place worth visiting without a doubt.

Delicja's cuisine is a combination of Polish, French and Mediterranean. The menu features scallops, French cheeses, goose liver, but also żurek (sour soup), pierogi or borscht with kołduny (dumplings). The recipes are very refined and the excellent quality of dishes extremely repeatable, which is not surprising in a restaurant of this class. Delicja also has a large selection of quality wines, very skilfully paired with the meals. Agnieszka Wawrzyniak is the only woman in Poland awarded a Michelin recommendation in 2023.

You can walk into Delicja for a quick coffee or soup. However, if you want to fully appreciate the charm of this place, it's worth putting your phone aside and slowing down for a while. Delicja requires time to get comfortable, to look at the trinkets scattered throughout the restaurant and to talk to the staff. This place is too special to only be in half-heartedly.

An extremely interesting and charming part of the premises is the Pod Platanem Patio with reputedly one of the oldest sycamore trees in the region.
