A new restaurant, “strona.”, has opened in the heart of Poznań, inside the iconic Dom Książki building at 13a Gwarna Street. The culinary concept is led by acclaimed chef Paweł Salamon—winner of the Culinary Cup of Poland and Greater Poland Chef of the Year—who brings seasonal, avant-garde cuisine to this literary-inspired venue.

The restaurant “strona.” is located in the newly revitalized Dom Książki building at 13a Gwarna Street, once home to one of Poznań’s most cherished bookstores. With deep cultural roots, this space has been reimagined as a restaurant that blends literary heritage with ambitious, plant-based cuisine. At the heart of the project is chef and co-owner Paweł Salamon, recognized as one of the most experienced and inventive culinary talents of his generation. His career spans years of work in prestigious restaurants, national and international accolades, and a commitment to mentoring young chefs.

At “strona.”, Salamon brings to life his vision of responsible, seasonal cooking based on local ingredients, respect for produce, and a creative approach to flavor. The menu evolves with the seasons and ingredient availability, embracing sustainability and zero-waste principles.

The interior preserves the spirit of Dom Książki—minimalist and bright, lined with bookshelves and a quiet, reading-room atmosphere. Outside, a summer courtyard features a large mural, and there are future plans to open an in-house bakery.
