Painting and Sculpture Gallery
The upcoming winter in Poznań will abound with numerous temporary exhibitions that are sure to attract many visitors. Starting at the Gallery of Painting and Sculpture, it is worth visiting the "Study Gallery of Ancient Art", presenting selected fragments of the collection, a stylized cabinet, and a collection of ancient artifacts. You should hurry, as the exhibition runs only until the end of December.
Another temporary exhibition presented within the gallery walls is "Hidden Meanings: The Interior Theme in Polish Art from the 19th to the 21st Century". Open until January 18, this exhibition showcases the interiors of various studies, salons, and dining rooms - from the Realism era to the present day. Visitors can also expect to see paintings by many artists, including Gierymski and Mehoffer.
Among the periodic exhibitions worth visiting, the exhibition "Poznań’s Boznańska - A Show of the Artist's Works from the MNP Collection" is a must-see. It is a collection of Olga Boznańska’s work from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It features paintings from the permanent exhibition as well as from storage resources that are normally unavailable to visitors. The exhibition of Boznańska's works is open until February 1.
Old Brewery
Until February 28, we invite you to an exhibition of the undisputed legend of pop art, Andy Warhol, titled
"A kind of retrospective". The American artist's work is presented at the Stary Browar gallery, and the exhibition is truly extensive. On three floors of the Pop Culture Gallery, one can see original prints, polaroids, films, sketches, archival advertisements, and album and "Interview" magazine covers designed by Warhol. The uniqueness of this exhibition is evidenced by the fact that part of the collection arrived in Poznań from the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, rather than - as is the case with most exhibitions dedicated to his work - from the museum in Slovakia.
City Gallery Arsenal
Galeria Miejska Arsenał invites you to two temporary exhibitions:
"Yes or no and Vice Versa" by Jarosław Kozłowski and
"SHE and I" by Izabella Gustowska. The first explores themes of ambiguity, indeterminacy, and the intertwining of clearly opposing expressions. The second tells a story about the mystery accompanying art, which for the audience can be a unique journey through both time and space. Both exhibitions will be available to visitors until January 11.
Poznań International Fair
Finally, until January 31, at the Poznań International Fair grounds, the exhibition
"Immersive Nutcracker: A Winter Miracle" will be open. This is a multisensory exposition based on the famous ballet by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, adapted for visits by both children and adults.
