Kowale Marina
Przystań Kowale is located in Oborniki, on the water trail of the Great Waterway Loop of Wielkopolska. The facility is situated on the left bank of the Warta River, near the mouth of the Wełna River. As the name suggests, boats can be moored there. At the same time, the marina functions as a campsite, also accessible for campers and caravans. On-site, pyrography workshops are held, and visitors can use a dry sauna or organize a bonfire. A unique attraction is an overnight stay on the Statera houseboat.
The marina operates a kayak rental (single, double, and triple kayaks) with the option to organize a trip. The most popular routes are along the Warta and Wełna rivers. During higher water levels, you can also paddle down smaller rivers: Sama, Flinta, and Samica. Throughout the year, the marina managers organize several kayaking events. On the route from Przystań Binduga in Mściszewo to Przystań Kowale in Oborniki, a tourist game is available - the only kayak quest in the region, titled "Warto spływać Wartą".
The specialty of Przystań Kowale are kayak rafts, which consist of two kayaks connected by a platform and propelled by paddles. Such a pioneering design is stable and maneuverable. Rafts are a good choice for older passengers sitting on a chair or armchair, as well as for wheelchair users. On board, children can play, and you can organize a barbecue, sunbathe, or take a nap.
Przystań Kowale organizes raft-and-bike expeditions on the Oborniki-Stobnica route (17 km). Such an escapade is a unique proposal for a full-day trip. You float to Stobnica on a raft down the Warta River with your own bicycles on board. Once there, it is worth seeing the historic disused railway bridge, going for a walk along the forest educational path near the Stobnica castle, or the "Dolina Kończaka" educational trail. The return journey is a bike ride along the southern edge of the Noteć Forest on an asphalt bike path, routed along a former railway line.
